Your dining experience at Applebee's on October 29th  raised $290 for our mission.  Thank you for your support!

Sleigh for Smiles is intended to bring cheer to children who are hospitalized over the holidays.  

The beginning is all from the heart of a (then) 9 year old.

In December 2020, during the COVID pandemic, we called around to hospitals to see who had children in their facility hoping that we could help put smiles on their faces. 

Two friends counting money from a piggy bank as a start. Using that along with a small donation, we shopped at affordable stores to make gift bags of toys. We then wrapped them and personally delivered 

the packages to one of the local hospitals. 

When we did this, it brought so much happiness to us in sharing the true meaning of Christmas joy, I knew I had to do more. The process took hard work and patience. With more funds from my piggy bank and finally approval for 501(c)(3) status, I am happy to announce 

Sleigh for Smiles is official. 

We are able to meet the needs of our mission, thanks to the helping hands of this amazing community!

We can't thank you enough for your support! This year Sleigh for Smiles raised over $5,000, received almost 1,000 toys from our community, and donated 6 truckloads and I mean loads, to 6 local hospitals this season. Thank you for your words of encouragement, thank you to the businesses and churches who held toy drives, and to everyone who sent a toy, blankets, handmade cards, or a monetary donation. Sleigh for Smiles and the children in the hospitals are forever grateful.  

Stay tuned for 2024 goals. Tay will slay for Sleigh! :)

We are out black Friday shopping to make the most of our money.  Taylor just finished a load for our first 

toy drop this Tuesday at Childrens Hospital of 

Michigan-Detroit.  Their annual Snowpile event is 

coming up in early December and we can't wait to

 be part of it!  Thank you for your generous donations.  

We currently have 3 toy drops scheduled and 5 toy

drives with local businesses.  YOU and our community 

are making a difference!!!  You are part of a mission 

that adds smiles to so many children and families.  

We have a lot more to do, but are well on our way.

First, I would like to thank each of you for your support in my journey to bringing smiles to as many children in the hospital as possible.  Though gifts are not the cure, we only hope it will bring a smile to a child’s face when a child receives something fun from somebody they don’t know, someone who is always thinking of them.

We hope to do even more this year.  We sold A LOT of dog treats this year generating almost $1,500 from that task alone, toward the cause.  In addition, Skull Island Camp out of Waterford generously donated $1,800 as a result of our nomination to the football pool for charity.  We are so grateful to all of our supporters year after year.  We still have some work to do to meet our goal, but I 

know we can make it happen!

Lastly, Sleigh for Smiles would like to invite you to participate in the opportunity of bringing joy to sick children during the holidays. Today's Dog Fest @canterburyvillage displaying Sleigh for Smiles' dog treats was a success for many reasons. We saw family we haven't seen in a while, new skills were put to work, met a lot of great people, and made a profit for S4S.  It was a great day.

Just a reminder, we are still making dog treats as part of our fundraising efforts.  Please send us a message if you ever have a need. Prices run from $6-$7 per dozen 

depending on the flavor. They are all natural and made fresh as ordered. The pups love them!  

In addition to selling dog treats, 

Taylor will be fundraising and accepting donations through the end of the year to accomplish 

her goals for 2023.
