About Sleigh for Smiles

Sleigh for Smiles, a non profit organization, is intended to bring a little cheer to children that are hospitalized over the holidays. 

In December 2020, during the COVID pandemic, we called around to hospitals to see who had children in their facility hoping that we could help put smiles on their faces. My friend and I counted the money in my piggy bank as a start. Using that along with a small donation from my parents, we shopped at affordable stores to make gift bags of toys. We then wrapped them and personally delivered the packages to one of the local hospitals. 

When we did this last year, it brought so much happiness to us for sharing the true meaning of Christmas joy, I knew I had to do more. The process took hard work and patience. With more funds from my piggy bank and finally approval for 501(c)(3) status, I am happy to announce Sleigh for Smiles is officially kicking off this upcoming holiday season. 

I would like to invite you to participate in the opportunity of bringing joy to sick children during the holidays. Knowing you have so many organizations to choose from when considering your charitable donation(s), I am asking you to please consider donating a new unwrapped toy, ordering directly through Amazon under Sleigh for Smiles’ wish list, or a monetary donation to Sleigh for Smiles. As a donor, your monetary gift is tax-deductible under section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I’m so excited to reach my goals for this cause. It not only makes me happy, but more importantly will make a child’s hospital stay a little better knowing so many people care about them.
